The Third Assignment


1. Dua bentuk keputusan yaitu keputusan terstrukutur dan keputusan tidak terstruktur.
Kenapa tingkatan atas lebih banyak berhubungan dengan keputusan tidak terstruktur, sedangkan manajer bawah lebih banyak berhubungan dengan keputusan terstruktur? 
2.   Apa yang dimaksud dengan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Jelaskan jawaban anda dengan contoh pada kasus yang anda ketahui

Answer 
1. Because the top-level manager has the power to decide a thing rarely happens or occurs at a certain time.    while the first-line managers have more contact with unstructured decisions due to first-line managers do not have full control to decide what he would, differently with top level managers.
2. Decision support systems are part of a computer-based information systems (including knowledge-based systems (knowledge management)) are used to support decision making within an organization or company.

Step of Decision Support System:
     a. definition of problem
     b. The collection of data or elements of relevant information
     c. processing data into information in the form of graphs and written reports
     d. determine the alternatives solutions (can be in percentage)

Case:
a. Definition of Problem 

  Hotel Mandarin Jakarta (Purchasing department) has a problem to decide which supplier they want to use to supplies groceries item, 

b. The collection of data or element  of relevant information

   As a Buyer, before they discuss with a purchasing manager and a chief accountant , they have to find out the relevant information like a which brand has the best quality. after the buyer has a relevan information from users, they start to negotiation with a supplier regarding the price.

c. Processing data inti information in the form of graph

   After buyer already negotiat with all supplier, buyer have to make a form of graph from user like a monthly consumption for each department whose using a groceries item, it needed to make a decision which supplier we have to decide because each supplier has a minimum purchase per month.

d. Determine the alternatives solution

    When the buyer already talk with a purchasing manager and decide which supplier will be use in that hotel, the buyer also have to make a alternative supplier, so when the main supplier out of stock, we can get the same item n same quality in other supplier.
